Sample Email
Hello (who you’re emailing)
My name is (name) and I am a organizing a spice drive for the Spices of Hope initiative. I’m organizing this drive because I have learned that spices impact one’s cultural identity, family traditions, and mental health. Many times people who use food banks don’t have access to that bit of home because of the high prices, so I want to help change that.(talk what the purpose of the email is)
Thank you for your time
From,
(name)
In creating your spice drive you will have to contact many different people so it’s important you know what your saying. You can use this email to spread the word about your drive, get others invovled, or even try to get donations from a local grocery store, commercial company, etc.
Flyers
This is the editable flyer
These are example flyers
These flyers have basic information on them, but you will need to edit them to include your specific information. To edit the editable flyer make a copy.
Culturally responsive spice survey
To create the list of spices you will accept this form will be very important. The food bank of the Rockies created a form to send out to their clients too find out who their clientele is and what cultural ingredients were wanted. Through talking to the food bank of the Rockies I created my own form to send out to food banks who are interested in working with you for your drive. This will give you information on who your clientel is, what they want, and more helpfull imformation.
